About
Michael Haston was born and raised in Middle Tennessee. After a 20-year career working as an Executive/Personal assistant at the highest levels of the non-profit and business worlds, he decided to pursue his passion for flowers and events.
In Summer of 2019, he received his certification in floral design from the New York Botanical Garden. Since then, he has worked with some of the top florists and event professionals in New York City including Oscar Mora, Joshua Werber, Theresa Rivera and Christin Geall. Projects he has worked on have been featured in Vogue, New York Times Style Magazine, Brides magazine, New York fashion week, etc.
Today, he runs Haston Floral & Event Design, founded in New York City in October 2019. Haston Floral is a full-service floral and event design firm specializing in creating elevated floral design for gracious and sophisticated events. In addition, he is available for freelance work in the Northeast region and around the United States.
Michael currently lives in Manhattan on the Upper West Side with his husband, Brent Hendrix.

In 2023, Michael started a second flower business, Buttercups Flowers, focused on Upper West Side flower delivery, floral design parties, and pop-up flower shops.
